The documentary portrays one of the oldest fish smokers of Hamburg - Räucherjens.
He owned a traditional smoke house close to the red light district on St Pauli.
In the abandoned place are still seen the ovens from around 1900 covered all over in
pitch black grime. Once again Räucherjens smokes fish and tells about what is important
to consider and the secrets of a traditional craft.
