RÄUCHERJENS

The documentary portrays Jens Kastner, aka Räucherjens, one of the oldest fish smokers of Hamburg.
He owned a traditional smoke house nearby the red light district in the area St Pauli.
In this abandoned place you can still see the ovens from around 1900 covered all over in
pitch black grime. Once again Räucherjens smokes fish and tells about what is important to consider
and the secrets of a traditional craft.
